Don is the Executive Director for Every Generation Ministries - USA which is a part of the Every Generations Ministries (EGM) Global network. Since 1993, EGM has worked globally to train next generation leaders in discipleship strategies for local congregations. They have ministry programs in 18 countries and last year trained almost 50,000 leaders. Don attended and studied theology at Trevecca Nazarene University, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He is ordained in the Church of the Nazarene and for the last 30 years has served as a pastor,  theological educator, and non profit leader in mission driven organizations.

Don is married to Jamie Ballard and they have three adult children who also live in TN and work in public service roles. Jamie is the new Principal for the Tennessee School for the Blind and has been in education for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University and serves as a trustee on the TNU alumni board.
