As we navigate this important pastoral transition, we want to ensure you are well-informed to effectively address questions from your classes.  Below are some key details and updates:

Key Dates and Events

  1. Worship Preaching Rotation
  • The message series, “The Seven Churches of Revelation” will continue through March 23.
  • The preaching rotation will remain in place through April.

  1. New Pastor Search Survey
  • Last week, 75 surveys were returned. 
  • The feedback has clarified the congregation's priorities for a new Pastor.
  • The Pastor Search Committee is grateful for the strong participation.
  • A summary will be shared with the congregation in the next two weeks.

  1. Pastor Search Next Steps – Team Meeting on February 27
  • Review and share the survey results with the congregation.
  • Research platforms for posting the Pastor job opening.
  • Update the Pastor job description.
  • Finalize and post the Pastor position on platforms.

  1. Goodlettsville Church Prayer Group
  • Prayer is the most vital action our church can take during this season of seeking a new Pastor.
  • A Church Prayer Team is forming to seek God’s wisdom and guidance.
  • The first meeting is today, February 23, at noon in the main sanctuary.
  • All are welcome, and gatherings will continue two times per month.

  1. 2025 Church Budget Update
  • The Financial Oversight Committee will provide a 2025 budget update to the congregation on Sunday, March 2.
